The MAN everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards

The third annual MAN everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards took place on Thursday, 13th May 2010 at the Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square.

TV presenter and motivational speaker Penny Mallory hosted the event which saw 300 attendees, made up of key figures in transport and logistics, co-workers, friends and families, show their support for those inspirational finalists who are shining a light on the great work done by women in the sector. After some pre-lunch networking and a three course meal, the Awards were underway.

Helen Halpin, Regional Operations Manager at Bulky Bob's, was named Woman of the Year for her vision, innovative approach and success, making her an outstanding role model to women who choose a career in transport and logistics.

Elaine Miller presented the award, commenting what impact winning in 2009 has had: "I will continue to help, inspire, develop and mentor other women. The Award has given me great exposure, not just in the press and with customers, but also internally within my organisation". Elaine went on to say that "everywoman is playing a crucial role in helping these changes by high profiling the importance of women in the industry, as well as in many other industries".
