Toni EastwoodToni Eastwood OBE
Training Director

Toni has over twenty years experience in training and development. She has specialised in creating and implementing programmes aimed at women for the last ten and joined everywoman in 2003 to help establish the organisation’s first regional conference held in the East of England.

Beginning her career within the Small Firms Service in business development, management and leadership, Toni was part of the team that established the first Business Link and one of the first Training and Enterprise Councils in the UK. As part of this role she researched and identified a need for training that was tailored specifically for Directors of Small Businesses and women business owners. She recognised that women often benefit from a different approach, and that the mutual support they derive from networking with one another is a hugely powerful mechanism. As a result, Toni set up leading business development and strategy programme in early 1990s, which led to a women only business and career development training programme in the early 2000s.

Toni has published research and is a regular contributor in the press and TV media on the issues and barriers around harnessing diversity in all aspects of the economy, including entrepreneurship, leadership and the glass ceiling, in sectors such as ITEC, SET, construction and hard to engage communities and social exclusion.

She is passionate about helping women realise their Leadership and Management potential and her drive, passion and commitment were recognised in the 2007 New Year’s Honours List when she was presented with an OBE for her contribution to equal opportunities.

Kate Long_May2010Kate Long

Training Support Administration Manager

Kate started her career in Training in 2000, as a key account manager and successfully managed the delivery of over 500 training courses to a variety of companies of all sizes across all industries.

Her responsibilities included redeveloping existing training programmes and piloting them to key clients. She was also responsible for training logistics and analysing clients training requirements and tailoring solutions to meet them.

Kate’s motivation in this role was providing the whole training solution for her clients so all they had to worry about was signing the contract and paying the bill!

She saw the opportunity to be part of a team that makes a real difference to women's working lives and the challenges they face - something she is passionate about, and joined everywoman in January 2009.
